Ian and Tracey Nixon, renowned for their success at the Vanilla Pod in Torquay and later at The Cridford Inn in Trusham, decided to open The Phoenix in February 2014.
The restaurant is located on the premises of the former Old Coaching House, which tragically burned down in 2011.
Chef Ian takes immense pride in crafting each and every meal. They collaborate closely to create a diverse range of menus that cater to a wide variety of taste preferences. Ian also ensures that the restaurant is accessible to younger diners, offering affordable options for families to enjoy dining together without straining their budgets.
The dining room and bar at The Phoenix Chudleigh create a spacious and inviting atmosphere, where different generations can be seen mingling and enjoying themselves.
Ian actively encourages this inclusive environment and believes in accommodating all patrons. Adding a personal touch, Ian’s own artwork adorns the walls of the restaurant, and these pieces are available for purchase.
Additionally, Ian offers commissioned artwork upon request, allowing patrons to acquire pieces on specific subjects they desire.
